Apeks themselves know that they stand 0 chance of re-ascending so why not give another GC player a shot at Tier 1, be it for 1 Split only?
It will be good for the scene after what happened recently (if I speak I'm in big trouble) and it's good PR for Apeks too.

Move makes sense the only thing I don't understand is why are they only picking up GC duelist players, like there are tens of better duelists in tier 2 all over the world why not just pick up a support player like daiki instead to fill that GC role instead? Personally I just find it easier to integrate a support player since all they really need to do is shoot back and play good util instead of a duelist player who, following what we've seen of flor might just be baiting.
Which other Tier 1 team will give GC player a chance to prove herself? It's a win/win situation for both parties cuz if somehow this deal do happen, bstrdd will have 1 Stage for Tier 1 experience, which is good for her CV and Apeks stocks will fly through the roof and therefore sale probably thousands of bundles.
I agree with you, Apeks or integrating any Challengers lineup would be the best competitively wise choice, but the most realistic approach is just paycheck steal in GC due to higher salary (specially when you're in an organization like Liquid or the current one she's negotiating with, which will be just as if not more competitive than Liquid itself) and overall stability.
