A gun cant feel too stiff and needs to inspected serveral times
you need the gun to look like the gun its meant to represent (when holding, when on the ground, when the enemy is holding it)
You need to make sure the gun is on theme and doesnt break away the core concept
You need the sound and animation to be different but also still match that of the default gun (such as the rate of fire)
A gun cant take too many resources off your computer
Sometimes a gun has been animated and had the gun effects done but once put in game, felt terrible to most people and was scrapped

Well yeah they do, league skins take a varying amount of time depending on the skin 1-3 years though. League is different for 2 reasons. 1.) worlds is considered the only very important event and msi is whatever. So they only focus on worlds 2.) league is a bigger and older game than valorant, the hype after a team wins is carried on for a very long time so even if the skins produced are a year late they still sell very well. Remember that riot were afraid that the vct capsules wouldnt even do well, now think about that fear but it takes a whole year after to develop imagine wanting to get an ascend skin after loud win champs, guess what the ascend bundle wouldnt sell that well
