The veteran, who has been a core piece in Team Secret's Valorant squad since its inception in 2021, said that he would take the break to "recharge", hinting at a potential return to the active roster in the future.

"Right now, I am feeling somewhat exhausted from the negative feedback from the community, particularly if it is not related to the game," he said. "I feel like I have to step out to not affect the team. "Hopefully, this break will help me get my energy back to compete again someday."

To start 2025, Team Secret finished 9th-12th at Pacific Kickoff and 11th-12th in Stage 1. The results have sparked a midseason rebuild, which started with the release of 2GE and benching of Jremy in the days leading up to JessieVash stepping down.
