I never said the orgs didnt want to win. Obviously the orgs want to win but the actual players won't care as much and winning a masters or champs is worth a lot more than EWC.
I mean a lot of it is more about the actual event rather than the fact it's online. EWC has pretty low stakes compared to other games that T1 teams will play (outside of scrims)
they'll all try to win in EWC but most likely most teams attention will be on Toronto and not EWC
